Port Infrastructure
We partner with businesses to facilitate international trade, providing the robust infrastructure and unwavering support needed for seamless and efficient cross-border commerce

Expanding for the Future
As trade with Mexico continues to boom, so does traffic at Port Laredo. To meet this growing demand, we’re undertaking World Trade Bridge Expansion Project. This means,
- More Lanes – A new eight-lane bridge for northbound commercial traffic and widened lanes for southbound traffic to reduce congestion.
- Enhanced Security – Advanced security measures ensure safe and efficient trade for all crossings.
- Avoid U-Turns & Delays – Upgraded concrete pavement improves durability and long-term efficiency.
- Built to Last – View live cameras for northbound and southbound traffic before crossing.
- Improved Trade Flow – Increased capacity, faster processing, and enhanced safety for a smoother cross-border experience.
The World Trade Bridge expansion project, with its presidential permit granted on May 31st, 2024, is anticipated to reach completion by 2026.
